What we learned yesterday...

Tyler had another doctor's appointment with his ENT yesterday. We didn't really find out much. They are still attributing the hearing and balance loss to "a freak viral infection." Since there was no change in his hearing last time and he didn't feel like there was any change this time, they skipped the hearing test. He did get his last steroid shot to his inner ear. Dr. Roebuck said that if Tyler felt a difference with this shot, that he could and would do more, but since it seems to not be helping at all this is the last one we will do. Physical limitations are basically whatever Tyler feels like he can do. He can drive when he feels like he can so be on the watch out for a blue Dodge! The doctor gave him a list of about 15 exercises that he is supposed to do 5 times each twice a day to help his mind learn to adjust and balance. We have to go back in a month.

So since we didn't learn much at the doctor, here's some other things we learned yesterday...
  • Jace can do all of Daddy's exercises.
  • Jace can be amused by taking pictures of Daddy as he lays there helpless after his shot.
  • Daddy does not like having his picture taken when he's helpless, even if it keeps a little boy quiet.
  • Daddy doesn't scream when he gets his shots, even though he wanted to!
  • People think it is cute and funny when a 4 year old flies an airplane through the doctor's office. (I don't think anyone was annoyed, it stayed in his hand.)
  • Receptionists think little kids need suckers and stickers even if they are not the patient.
  • Jace is sweet enough to share his stickers with Daddy for "being such a good patient."
  • White cars leave paint on red Escapes, even if they are stopped completely and bump into you because the driver's foot slipped off of the brake.
  • Jace likes sleeping with a dog in his bed, but is still afraid of noises that he hears and bad dreams.
