I ♥ Faces!

It's that time again! Time for my third entry into an I ♥ Faces contest! This weeks category is Self-Portrait. I will be the first to admit that I take HORRIBLE self-portraits! I've never mastered the art of holding the camera, smiling, and pushing the button at the same time. When I take pictures with other people, I usually let them hold the camera. Especially Tyler since his arms are so much longer. However, Jace loves to take pictures with Mommy, so I ended up with this one which isn't just atrocious! I love the way the sun is setting behind us. This picture was taken at our lake trip in the middle of January.

I ♥ faces!

This week's theme is Easter/Spring. I dug up this picture from the photo archives. It's one of my favorites of Mallori and Jace taken during their Easter 07 photo shoot by mommy :) If you know me, you've probably seen it before.. it could be found on some of my checks, framed at my mom's house, on myspace.... you get the point! I revamped it a little from the traditional black and white last night. Without further ado here it is....

Easter Weekend

I survived my four day weekend! Yea!! But that means it's back to work today. We had a great time this weekend. Easter parties, cleaning, mowing, weed-eating, bachlorette parties sleep-overs, Winnie Trade days, church, egg hunts, food, family, you name it, we did it!

A few funny things that happened over the course of the weekend:

Mallori: We went to her Easter party at school and when it was over, she wanted to go home with Holly. I said no problem, just call me whne you are ready to come home and I will come get you. Around 2 she calls, I go get her and we are driving back home.
Mallori: Are you done cleaning yet?
Me: No, ma'am....
Mallori: (wailing) I DIDN'T MEAN TO CALLL YOUUUUU.... I wanted to spend the night with my Mama!!!
Hmm... really? I'm pretty sure that I asked you a few times if you were sure you were ready to come home and you told me yes over and over because you didn't want to go to Wal-Mart. You were almost in tears then.....

Jace:
He's sitting around watching TV, I'm doing my Bible study, Mallori is digging around for something to eat...
Jace: God is sad that Daddy is in Wyoming and not here with us.....

End of conversation. No idea where that one came from. I even tried to prod him a little to tell me how he knew God was sad but he went right back to watching Duck Dodgers...
