Anyone interested in what's been going on the past two weeks?

You guessed it, not a whole lot! On Halloween, we went to the dinosaur exhibit at the Energy museum and the art museum's family fun day. Jace had fun until a balloon popped. After that he was done. I have to give it to him though, we were outside and it echoed. Everyone in the entire area stopped looking for someone screaming that they were shot! Then we started trick or treating, but not before a few quick photo!! I imagine Jace's and my opinion of "a few quick photos" is a tad different!

We trick or treated Aunt LaLa at work and then Gramma. We had lunch with Gramma and Mr. Ricky and then headed home for a nap! :) After we woke up, we trick or treated around Buna: Mawmaw Joyce's, Nana's, Pawpaw's, the fire hall, and the karate dojo. Then it was off to Mrs. Tammy's to hang out!

The next week is all a blur. Church, school, karate and Nana's for Jace. Work, work and more work for me and work and running all of my errands for Tyler. Thursday, Tyler headed to the farm and Friday, he picked up Pawpaw James!! Jace and I left for the farm Friday afternoon and ended up beating everyone there. As always, we had a good time at the farm, lots of people were there! Jace ended up being sick about 1/2 of the time with his allergies. Poor little guy was even running a low-grade fever. It didn't stop him though! At least not for long!

Sunday we headed back home and it was work for me and play for everyone else :) Just joking. Tyler and James cooked, cleaned, trimmed our trees, fixed our sprinkler and water pressure and had time left over to visit some friends! Wednesday we all met up at Fudruckers and had burgers. Tyler forgot my camera and left his in the truck :( What was he thinking!?!?

They (Tyler and James) are headed back up to the farm today. After work, Mallori, Jace and I will head up ourselves. No one has any deer killed yet., but we did have some YUMMY elk back strap! We saw 3 deer in the back yard this morning but I don't think the boys wanted to clean up the mess! Hunting in your jamies... every man's dream right? They better quick being lazy though... I want some venison this year!!!!

Mallori's Birthday Party

My birthday was fun. It was so fun. I loved it.

I got presents. It was fun.

I love to rock and roll. I hate to punch J. At my party we played tag, rock and roll games.

It wasn't as fun as I wanted it. I had a rock and roll guitar cake. Yum Yum Yum!

We even got to spray paint our hair. The end.

Jace found Mallori an awesome outfit that matched her party perfectly!! He had to give it to her early so she could wear it at the party.

Can't you just read her mind in the picture below? "I wonder if she would notice if I just stuck one finger in?? No one will notice just a little icing missing!" The poor kids had to look at this cake for a whole day before they got to eat some!!

I think they all had fun. Even if it wasn't as organized as parties usually are!

Color Changes

Miss Mallori has done really well her first year of school and for the first 6 weeks of first grade. I think she changed her color only once last year and that was because she yelled at someone who took something from her or something like that. (Mrs. West, if you still read this, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!!!)

So far this year has been the same. She gotten in trouble once for "excessive talking" but I mean who didn't see that one coming at some point and time??

Then there's yesterday...

In P.E. Mallori told Little Girl A something and told her not to tell Little Girl B. Well, being little girls, the Little Girl A tells Little Girl B. In true little girl form, Ms. Mallori is not happy. However, instead of yelling the normal response of "you're not my best friend anymore," or something of that nature, Mallori HITS Little Girl A. Not slaps, not pushes, HITS. TWICE. Once in the arm and then in the face!

Ahh! What happened here? Can it get worse.... of course it can. Of all of the kids to hit, Tyler used to work with Little Girl's A's dad.

Then, it could have been worse. Mallori did say she apologized. She also brought me her note as soon as she got home from church. And she endured her punishment silently. She had to go to bed as soon as she finished supper and did not get a story. (I think given the choice of no story or cut off an arm, she would pick the latter.) This morning, she could not watch TV after she got ready. She had to write an apology note to Little Girl A, and tell her mother what happened. Tyler is also going to tell her karate teacher, and we have promised to take her out of karate if it EVER happens again.

We also reinforced the fact that we love her, but her behavior was very disappointing and hurtful to Little Girl A, Ms. Gardner, Daddy, me, and her mother. Ms. Gardner even told me today that Mallori was still upset today and apologized again. She said she told Mallori that today was a new day and she and Little Girl A had forgiven Mallori. We all make mistakes and it's ok as long as we learn from them. She still had to sit out at recess. (Yes for those of you with kids in school. She skipped Yellow and went straight to Blue!)

I guess she'd been good in school for so long, it all bottled up and came out at once!!
